Senior Security Engineer

Compensation: 70k – 80k base salary plus Bonus
Relocation: assistance available

Summary:

This person will work closely within a growing team of Security Engineers. The role would assist in defining the overall information security strategy of the organization while be heavily focused on technical initiatives. The family based culture of the organization provides a tremendous opportunity to grow from within as the security department grows.


Job description:

The ideal candidate will work within a team environment to maintain the security framework of the client while in very complex and secured infrastructure. In addition, the candidate must be knowledgeable about threats, vulnerabilities and remediation and perform advanced data analysis across a large set of complex network and security data, identify patterns and transform the data through analytics into actionable information.

Responsibilities:

-Help define overall information security strategies and procedures.

-Design, implement, and maintain security focused infrastructure.

-Assists management with the Information Security Strategy

-Assist in the management of Antivirus, Firewalls, Host-based Intrusion Protection systems (HIPS), Network Intrusion Protection, and Web Application Firewalls.

-Managed the Branch, head end Firewalls and Network Intrusion Prevention Systems.

-Management of the content web application for the entire enterprise.

-Assistance with the implementation of web security by using white and black box testing.

-Implement telecommunications security over PBX, VoIP and POTS lines.

-Perform User Access assessments and provide new processes and control matrices for user access control.

-Manage segregation of duties for all applications by performing audits and assessments.

-Assist other members in the Information Security department by providing backup of technologies.

-Evaluate new and emerging products and technologies.

-Evangelize security within.

-Assistance with Security Awareness and Training.

-Develop and enforce security policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.

-Train the information system department on security issues.

-Assist in the Incident Handling and Response.

Requirements:

-Minimum of 2 years in information security and minimum of 5 years in information Systems

-Extensive knowledge of Networking and Windows 2000 / 2003 in a forest domain infrastructure.

-Knowledge of Linux command-line, particularly Red Hat based distributions.

-Minimum of 5 years in information Systems.

Education:

-Bachelor is Science in Business, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science

Certification Preferences:

-CCNP, CISSP, MCSE, or SANS (e.g. GSEC, GCFW, GCIA, GCWN, GCUX)

MCSD, MCAD, or SCJP
