Business Continuity Analyst - NYC

Compensation $80K-$95K base plus bonus

Position Summary:

As a member of our Global Business Continuity Management team the Business Continuity Program Analyst will assist in the maintenance of our strategic Continuity Plan.  Ensure effective controls are in place with the aim to provide a practical logical plan to recover and restore partially or completely interrupted critical functions, safeguard employees and property, and to reduce operational risk associated with such events.

Responsibilities:

To liaise extensively with Business Units (Front Office and Support Functions) and IT to determine their business continuity requirements

Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) reviews and ensure vulnerabilities and cross functional relationships are properly captured.

Assess the BCP effects for any organizational and/or technology changes and revise plans/procedures as necessary.

Participate in the co-ordination of Business Continuity Testing program

Regular site visits to dedicated Business Continuity facility

Creation and presentation of  business continuity reports

Co-ordinate reporting to and sit on the US Business Continuity Committee

Attendance at and secretary duties of the business continuity committee

Escalate significant risks and coordinate mitigating response.

Foster relationships with Information Technology (IT) peers.

Provide training to increase awareness.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 4-5 years of experience; relevant experience preferably in financial services.

Demonstrable resourcefulness and the ability to develop solutions and follow up issues to conclusion

Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Excellent leadership and teamwork skills.

Attention to detail is of paramount importance.

Comfortable dealing with all levels of management

Team player with the ability to work independently.

Resourceful, energetic, self-starter, flexible, goal-oriented.

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.

BCP experience coupled with exposure to software based business continuity planning tools a plus (e.g., Strohl Systems - BIA, LDRPS)
