Enterprise AIM Test Lead - London, UK
Compensation: L80K-L100K plus bonus, benefits and relocation assistance
Develop, lead and implement a thorough test and quality assurance plan for the AIM solution across the global enterprise. While AIM will have its own set of testing requirements to ensure successful delivery of AIM solutions, this role also requires a very experienced individual capable of aligning and integrating appropriately with the global test group, governance, and global test opportunities in locations such as Singapore.
Key Accountabilities
- Defines program-wide test strategy, test approach and establishes the AIM Testing Workstream.
- Manages a team of 6-8 testers with more dotted line reports in a highly matrixed and complex project structure.
- Works very closely with the Director of Integration to ensure timely and high quality delivery of applications.
- Defines and communicates defect management process in relation to testing.
- Aligns with internal resources to make optimal use of existing outsourced and off-shore testing factories and test environment support functions. Values Barclays as a whole to appropriately hand over test capability back into the wider business.
- Manages alignment of test strategy and approach with corporate standards.
- Selects and communicates testing methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency with a wide range of testing tools - Mercury Tool being the Group Standard.
- Implementing and utilizing a software configuration management process.
- Agree testing approach with existing application and platform owners impacted by foundation stage changes.
- Assist Test Stream Leads in building individual Test Plans and Reports.
- Approve test scripts in line with the respective Test Plan and Test Stream Lead.
- Summarize and approve all Test Reports and Test Plans.
- Prepare an Overall Test Report for each stage of testing with clear deliverables in defect management.
- Authority to trigger release management to relevant test environments (as per the Release Management strategy).
- Communicate testing progress to Program Managers and Sponsors.
- Take responsibility for all testing stages within the program including User Acceptance Testing.
- Where testing is performed by the business, identify and co-ordinate a team of business testers.
- Facilitate testing and quality issue resolution and provide an escalation route.
General Requirements
- Detailed understanding and depth of experience in implementing test automation systems.
- Successful managing and performing all aspects of the test phase, including performance and capacity testing and handling sensitive data in a test environment.
- Detailed knowledge and experience of managing testing on large implementations, ideally related to access & identity management applications
- Excellent problem resolution, judgment, and decision making skills
- Experience of working within a large global business with diverse and multi tiered management structure.
- Work with the sourcing manager to ensure vendor relationships, technology roadmaps and solutions integrate into client environment and the AIM solution.
- Strong understanding of vendor and contract management.
